The HP Pavilion dv1000 series was a series of "thin and light" widescreen laptops featuring a black and silver finish. They were marketed towards home and small business users. The laptops measured 13.1 in (330 mm) wide, 1.2 in (30 mm) deep, 9 in (230 mm) thick, and weighs 5.26 lb (2.39 kg).
Both models came with either integrated or discrete graphics. It uses the Radiance pattern as part of HP's Imprint finish, with some models featuring other unique patterns. Model numbers range from dv2700 to dv2899. The Pavilion dv2700 and the rest of the Pavilion dv2000 series were replaced by the 14.1" dv4 series in mid-to-late September 2008.
Support for handwriting recognition, on-screen keyboard, bluetooth, IrDA and add-on hardware such as keyboards are standard in both environments. The v0.8.4 (2006-08-20) version supports HP iPAQ H3xxx and H5xxx series of handhelds, and introduced initial support for the HP iPAQ H2200, Hx4700, and H6300 series.
