How to Send Us Your Work: We accept submissions only through our electronic submission system. We do not accept submissions through postal services or email. You may send us manuscripts for the following submission categories: General Submissions, Story of the Week, Readers’ Narrative, or a specific Contest.

The guidelines are as follows: A Six-Word Story should provide a movement of conflict, action, and resolution that gives the sense of a complete story transpiring in a moment’s reading. Payment: We pay $50 for each six-word story accepted for publication.
General submissions, including fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, are carefully reviewed for publication in an upcoming issue of Narrative Magazine. General submissions by new and emerging writers are also eligible for the Narrative Prize.
