Crewe Town Council is a parish council covering the town of Crewe in England. It comprises six wards, electing 20 councillors between them. The Council is based at 1 Chantry Court, Crewe where it generally holds its committee meetings. Full Council meetings are normally held at the Salvation Army.

In 2009, Cheshire East Council was created, taking over the functions of Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council and Cheshire County Council, which were both abolished. [36] The area of the former borough of Crewe had been unparished since the 1974 reforms, but following the 2009 reforms it was decided to create a parish covering the area.

The Borough of Crewe and Nantwich was created on 1 April 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 by the merger of the borough of Crewe (an industrial town), the urban district of Nantwich (a smaller market town), and Nantwich Rural District. [1]
