Born Jeanne Danker on 29 July 1953 in Kuala Lumpur to a Roman Catholic Portuguese-Eurasian family with roots in the state of Malacca, [3] she was the eldest of four siblings.
Previously, she was the 16th Raja Permaisuri Agong (Queen consort of Malaysia) during her husband's reign as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong from 2019 to 2024. She is also the younger sister of the 17th and current Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim .
His father was the eldest son of Hisamuddin of Selangor and Raja Jemaah, who later became the second Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia) and Raja Permaisuri Agong (Queen of Malaysia). His mother was the grandchild of both Sulaiman of Selangor and Abdul Jalil of Perak. [5] As such, his parents were first cousins.
