Helambu (Nepali: हेलम्बु गाउँपालिका) is a rural municipality and former village development committee located in Sindhupalchok District of Bagmati Province of central Nepal. [1] At the time of the 2021 Nepal census, it had a population of 17497. [2] Helambu is a part of the Helambu Region.
The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging Pipaldanda, Chautara, Kubhinde, Sanusiruwari Village Development Committees as Chautara Municipality. Later on 2017 it was expended again merging Sangachok , Thulo Sirubari , Kadambas , Irkhu , Batase and Syaule Village Development Committees to form Chautara Sangachowkgadi Municipality.

The rural municipality was established on March 10, 2017 when Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development dissolved the existing village development committees and announced the establishment of this new local body.
