[QUOTE=peakslayer;9001901]Just as I have boycotted HP I will boycott carrier. Its a sad day when a company wont spend 5 minutes to help you acquire a model number so your service man can purchase the "proper" gas valve. I have personally cost HP thousands of dollars and will now cost them even more with my national computer business.
Originally posted by hvac hero. usually on carriers model #, the 12 on the second half of the number is for cfm's. its 1200 cfms which is a 3 ton. Dislikes (Given) 1. Dislikes (Received) 0. CARRIER Crusader model 58SSc090---101JC. I was doing the October inspection on a carrier crusader (model number listed above series 100) and had a weird deal today. Was going through checking everything over heat exchanger, electrical connections, clear flue etc. and all seemed normal at first.
The BDP stands for bryant daynight payne. Basically a carrier made unit. 3.5 ton cooling and 60,000 btu heating. Manufactured 38th week of 1984. Roughly 9 seer if single phase and 8 seer if 3 phase. Blue book puts an 85 model at 8.5 SEER new. But that is an 84 unit as stated above so prob same.
Forum Rules. I have a 15+ year old Carrier Unit. It's model number 39ED29L on the Purchase Order. The unit is only labeled with 39ED29. I've got everything bu the L figured out. The woman at carrier documentation thought it might be left hand access doors, but I'm not sure.
Model number shows it to be a 3ton unit. Carrier is a bit different than most manufacturers, see the nomenclature info I attached below Attached Images
I was wondering if anyone with knowledge on Carrier Units would be willing to help explain which numbers/letters represent what (tonnage etc.) in the Model/Serial #'s. I'll leave one of the Unit Model & Serial Numbers below to use as reference. Thank you! Model #: 48TCED12A2A6A0A0G0. Serial #: 5021P43556. Reply. 06-15-2022, 09:22 AM #2.
