Siddig had some dispute about toy rights, and then he had his passive aggressive phase over turning into Spock. Those were sources of tension in the cast. Visitor was/is the glue of the cast. She got along with everyone--obviously Siddig--but has been close to Auberjonois and Brooks. Siddig and Meaney are close.
Visitor got pregnant, so they essentially had to write in the whole surrogacy for the O'Briens thing. They later made it official by getting married, although they are now divorced. That's the only on-set romance that I know of on Deep Space Nine. I think whoever said that thing about the cast not getting along was, frankly, talking out of ...
Fleet Captain. Fleet Captain. Mar 9, 2009. #7. I don't know about for the TV shows, but here are some numbers I found for some of the movies: Patrick Stewart: FC: $5 Million. INS: $9.5 Million. NEM: $13 Million.
Sep 10, 2016. #1. Hi, all. Just for fun, I ended up putting together a Chronological Guide for Deep Space Nine and Voyager that covers the first 5 seasons of DS9 and the first 3 seasons of Voyager, and figured I'd share it with my fellow Trek fans. [Deep Space Nine Season 1] Emissary (Deep Space Nine 1x01/1x02) Past Prologue (Deep Space Nine 1x03)
Premium Member. Nov 14, 2012. #17. Babylon 5 had a much better plot, and stuck with it for most of the series run. DS9 felt all over the place going from the Dominion, to the Klingons, back to the Dominion, and starting with the Bajorans which they abandoned because many complained they were too boring.
DS9 is a different beast compared to the other STAR TREK shows with their guest stars... they had so many recurring guests that a lot of them really main cast members, at least in everything but title. Andrew Robinson, Aron Eisenberg, J.G. Hertzler, Jeffrey Combs, Marc Alaimo... the list is almost endless. For DS9, I am specifically looking for ...
Feb 25, 2014. #13. DS9 cast members such as Michael Dorn, Armin Shimmerman and Nana Visitor have all commented in the past that the DS9 set WAS a much more subdued, 'serious' place. They took the work seriously, and tended not to have fun and hijinx akin to the TNG cast.
Worf was one of TNG's most popular characters. You can see this in the prominence he was given in the TNG films. He's up there with Picard and Data, and they make a good trio sometimes. Dorn was allegedly DS9's highest paid actor, possibly to the chagrin of some of his co-stars.
No. Babylon 5 completely imploded after two stellar seasons. Piling cliche on top of cliche, its once riveting arc disintegrated into a morass of hammy acting, perfunctory exposition and dire dialogue in its fourth season. The ending to Deep Space Nine wasn't perfect, but at least it retained its dignity. 1.
No doubt about it, DS9 had the best Trek space combat to date. Usually, space battles in Trek are very slow and expositional. (Shields down to 70%, etc) The great one between Enterprise and Reliant in TWOK aside. When I was 14 when episodes like Way of the Warrior and Sacrifice of Angels aired, I was so blown away by the quality and scale of ...
