De Wolfe Limited (previously known as Music de Wolfe, often referred to as De Wolfe Music) is a British music production company, recognised as the originator of what has become known as library music. De Wolfe Music was established by Meyer de Wolfe in 1909 and began its recorded library in 1927 with the advent of 'talkies'. [1] [2]
The library music he composed is usually uncredited in films and TV programmes, although a younger audience is likely to have heard it in recent years; Midnight Serenade is featured in two Electronic Arts video games for PlayStation 2 (The Godfather and The Sims 2: Castaway). That song was also included in the 2018 film The Catcher Was a Spy.
One of his library music recordings, "Teenage Carnival", was used as the theme to the cult 1960s ITV children's television series Freewheelers. He has also composed film scores for British movies such as Loot (1970) and Taste of Excitement (1970), and the western Three Bullets for a Long Gun (1971).

"Left Bank Two" is a jazz music piece of De Wolfe library music for vibraphone, double bass, acoustic guitar and brushed drums composed by Wayne Hill [1] in 1963 and performed by the Noveltones, a group of session musicians from the Netherlands. The session was directed by Dutch musician and studio manager Frans Mijts. [2]
