The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are Android-based smartphones unveiled, manufactured, released and marketed by Samsung Electronics as part of the Samsung Galaxy S series. The devices were revealed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 25 February 2018, as the successors to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ .
It is developed by Good Lock Labs in cooperation with Samsung, and can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store. Good Lock was first released in April 2016. [2] Responding to customer demand, it was revived in 2018 [3] for the Galaxy S7, S8, S9 and Note 8 lines running Android Oreo. Good Lock has continued to be developed since then. [4]
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ were unveiled on 25 February 2018 at the Mobile World Congress, with an improved camera, redesigned back panel and improved internals. The fingerprint scanner on the back is relocated to below the rear-facing camera, and the earpiece becomes an additional speaker for stereo sound.
