It is notable as the only meteorite known with video and audio of the impact recorded, and as the only known meteorite fall in Prince Edward Island. [2] The Charlottetown meteorite is classified as H5 ordinary chondrite. [1]
Today, the Charlottetown meteorite is part of the University of Alberta’s Meteorite Collection, which houses more than 1,800 specimens — the largest of its kind in Canada.
