Another settlement on the island Paros is Lefkes (Λεύκες). Lefkes is an inland mountain village 10 km (6 mi) away from Parikia. In the late 19th century, Lefkes was the center of the municipality of Iria which belonged to the Province of Naxos until 1912. The name of the municipality Iria was one of the ancient names of Paros.

He was born Fragkiskos (Francis) Kottis (Greek: Φραγκίσκος Κόττης) on 12 February 1897 in Lefkes, a village on the Greek Aegean island of Paros. His parents were Georgios and Maria Kottis. He was the third of seven children in his family. When he was a child, Francis' father died, leaving his mother Maria had to care for the family.

It is located in the northeastern corner of the island of Paros, and it has a population of 3,134 (2021). [1] In the summer Naousa attracts many tourists from all around Europe because of the climate and the nearby beaches, like Kolympithres. During the winter, it is cold and occasionally snowy.
