Bay Springs is a city in and the western county seat of Jasper County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 1,670 at the 2020 census, [3] down from 1,786 at the 2010 census. [4] State highways 15 and 18 intersect at the city. It is part of the Laurel, Mississippi (in Jones County) micropolitan area.

Paulding is an unincorporated community in and one of the two county seats of Jasper County, Mississippi. [1] It is the only unincorporated county seat in Mississippi. Settled in 1833, it was named by United States settlers in honor of Revolutionary War hero John Paulding.
The highway begins in Bay Springs at the intersection of MS 15 and West 6th Avenue where MS 528 heads east. This portion of the road is located one block south of MS 18 . MS 528 heads past some buildings, crosses a railroad at-grade, and continues into a residential portion of the city.
Vossburg is located on the Norfolk Southern Railway.The community was incorporated in 1900. [3] The incorporation charter was repealed on March 17 in 1904. [4]The community was once home to an express mail office, four stores, a church, school, and cotton gin.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.3 square miles (29 km 2), of which, 10.8 square miles (28 km 2) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km 2) of it (4.53%) is water. The entrance to Flint Creek Water Park is located in the city, off Highway 29.
