Wax was an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California. Wax emerged during the pop punk resurgence of the early 1990s, and included Joe Sib, Tom "Soda" Gardocki, Dave Georgeff, and Loomis Fall. The band is best known for their MTV buzz clip video "California", directed by Spike Jonze.
Under the supervision of Harvey Lisberg, Gouldman's long-time manager, the pair started working on songs for a new album, and took the name Wax. They signed with RCA Records, and released three studio albums between 1986 and 1989. [5] The band's best known singles during that period were "Right Between the Eyes" and "Bridge to Your Heart". [6]
13 Unlucky Numbers is the second album by Wax, and their major label debut. [5] [6] The album spawned the singles "California" and "Who is Next", both with music videos directed by Spike Jonze, who is also credited for the album's photography.

Magnetic Heaven is the 1986 debut album by Wax.. The album cover, painted by Jason Bradley, shows the band members. The European and the American editions of the album featured different versions of the song "Ball and Chain" with the latter edition having the longer one.
