Volunteer Fire Force (Malay: Pasukan Bomba Sukarela; PBS) traces their history back to 1883. The modern Volunteer Fire Force was formed in 1987 and protected under Section 62 (1) (CA) Fire and Rescue Services Act 1988. Each Volunteer Fire Force has their own fire stations, fire trucks, and equipment, which are usually sponsored by local industry.
