Bryan Robson OBE (born 11 January 1957) is an English football manager and former player. He began his career with West Bromwich Albion in 1972, where he amassed over 200 appearances and was club captain, before moving to Manchester United in 1981, where he became the longest-serving captain in the club's history.
In 1965, Robson was in Australia and didn't have sufficient funds to travel back home to Cardiff, Wales. Inspired by the story of Reg Spiers , an Olympic javelin thrower who had performed a similar feat, Robson had his friends seal him in a crate that measured 36 × 30 × 38 inches and send him by post back to London.

Bryan Stanley Robson, better known as Pop Robson (born 11 November 1945) [2] is an English former footballer who played as a centre-forward. He played for Newcastle United, West Ham United, Sunderland, Chelsea and Carlisle United, and scored 265 goals in 674 league games. [2] He also earned one cap for England under-23s. [4]
