St Anthony's Hall in York, England, is a former medieval guildhall and Grade I listed building.It currently houses Trinity Church York and the Quilt Museum and Gallery.The Hall, located on Peasholme Green, was built between 1446 and 1453 [2] on the site of a chapel of St Anthony for either the Guild of St Martin [3] or the Guild of St Anthony (which was founded in 1446). The feoffees retained ownership of the building, and they decided that it should become a parish room for Holy Trinity Church. [ 1 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] In 1905, local antiquarian Walter Harvey Brook made major alterations to the building, adding a new staircase, bay window and fireplace, and creating a new door to the garden.
The church was remodelled after the Dissolution of the Monasteries. The south aisle was rebuilt during a restoration between 1850 and 1851 by JB and W Atkinson of York. [ 5 ] The body of the building was entirely re-pewed, and a new aisle, 10 feet (3.0 m) wide and 60 feet (18 m) was added on the south side, by opening the original arcades.

Micklegate Priory, York was a Benedictine monastery founded in 1089 by Ralph Paynel, and dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It fronted on Micklegate, in the city of York, England, and the site had previously been used for Christ Church, a house of secular canons. [1] [2] The site is now that of Holy Trinity Church.
