It also features the Miracle Mile Shops and PH Live, a 7,000-seat entertainment venue. The site of Planet Hollywood was previously occupied by the Aladdin, an Arabian-themed hotel and casino which operated until 1997.
The second Spago restaurant opened at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, on the Las Vegas Strip in 1992. It was closed in 2017 and relocated to Bellagio Las Vegas in spring 2018. The Howard Johnson's Regency Motor Hotel first opened in 1966. In 1977, Caesars purchased the hotel and announced it would renovate the 11-story, 425-room structure and add seven floors to the building, expanding the room count to 548, plus a 52,000 sq.ft. casino at an estimated cost of $300 million.
