With the exception of Wrest Point Casino in Sandy Bay, the Hobart CBD contains all of Tasmania’s tallest buildings, including 39 Murray Street, 188 Collins Street and the Trafalgar Building. The tallest building in the city centre is NAB House at 58 m (190 ft), however planning restrictions limit future developments to a height of 42 m (138 ft).

Collins Street is a one-way street in Hobart, Tasmania. The street was named after the founding Lieutenant Governor of the Colony of Van Diemen's Land, David Collins. [1]
Murray Street was one of the original seven streets planned in Hobart, formalised in 1811 by surveyor James Meehan at the request of Governor Lachlan Macquarie. The layout was designed to intersect the north-west to south-east streets, including Elizabeth Street , with the north-east to south-west roads, such as Collins and Macquarie .
