The Tenth Presbyterian Church grew out of the Sixth Presbyterian Church, being organized in its session room in March, 1829. It was located on the northeast corner of Twelfth and Walnut Streets and there remained until merged (retaining its name) with its daughter, the West Spruce Street Church, at the corner of Seventeenth and Spruce in 1895.
