17th century The Codrington Plantations were two historic sugarcane producing estates on the island of Barbados , established in the 17th century by Christopher Codrington (c. 1640–1698) and his father of the same name.

It is the only synagogue in Barbados, and is bordered by the wider Magazine Lane, James, Coleridge and Pinfold streets, it is a part of the Synagogue Historic District. [ 1 ] In 2011 the synagogue and excavated mikveh were designated as UNESCO protected properties within the World Heritage Site of Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison area.
St Nicholas Abbey is located in Saint Peter, Barbados, and is a plantation house, museum and rum distillery. [1] Colonel Benjamin Berringer built the house in 1658. [ 2 ] This house is one of only three genuine Jacobean mansions in the Western Hemisphere . [ 2 ]
