Justify (born in March 28, 2015) is a US Hall of Fame Thoroughbred racehorse who is known for being the thirteenth winner of the American Triple Crown. He also was the first horse since Apollo in 1882 to win the Kentucky Derby without racing as a two-year-old. Justify first attracted attention with a win in his debut race on February 18, 2018.
In 2018, Scat Daddy had a record-tying four horses in the starting field for the Kentucky Derby, [11] including the winner, Justify. Justify went on to win the 2018 American Triple Crown and was named Horse of the Year. [12] On December 14, 2015, Scat Daddy was being led from his paddock when he suffered an apparent heart attack at age 11.

The win made Justify the 13th winner of the American Triple Crown, and just the second horse to accomplish the feat while still undefeated, joining 1977 winner Seattle Slew. It was the second Triple Crown win for Baffert, who also trained American Pharoah .
