Jack Beaumont Earl OAM (1908 – 1994), was an Australian sailor and noted marine artist. He achieved fame as the captain of the Kathleen Gillett, the second Australian yacht to sail around the world. [1] He was also one of the founders of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race [2] and the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia.

In 1971, Blake began his international sailing career as watch leader on Ocean Spirit in the Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro race.Ocean Spirit won the race.
