Pikachu shocks Spearow, and in the process alerts a whole flock. The angered Spearow flock gives chase and attacks Pikachu. Ash quickly grabs Pikachu and dives to a waterfall in order to escape from the flock, and the two are fished out down river by a young girl, who tells Ash to take the injured Pikachu to the Pokémon Center in Viridian City.

Ash and co. finally arrive at Violet City, where they find a school and he gets asked to give a small talk about Pokémon Training to the kids. However, a kid called Zackie is convinced that Ash's Pikachu is to be his, and when Pikachu runs off, he takes chase with one of Ash's empty Pokéballs.
Ash's third Gym battle with the electric master Wattson is full of surprises when, after an encounter with a robotic Raikou, Pikachu wins the match alone with super-charged Thunderbolts. However Ash's joy at receiving the badge disappears when Pikachu turns ill, and a depressed Wattson leaves Mauville City convinced he is a weak Gym Leader.
Then, Ash reaches the Lumiose City Gym to challenge the Gym leader but Ash doesn't have 4 badges. So, the Gym paralizes and throws them out. Then Ash and Pikachu meet Clemont and Bonnie, two siblings from Lumiose City, Clemont is an inventor, while Bonnie loves Pokemon but is only 8 years old so she can't be a trainer yet.
It originally aired in Japan from September 22, 2011 to October 4, 2012, on TV Tokyo, and in the United States from February 18, 2012, to January 26, 2013, on Cartoon Network, covering the continuing adventures of series main protagonist Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu as they continue traveling through Unova with Cilan and Iris.
But before you get too sad, know that Ash and Pikachu are expected to be seen again someday in some form, according to director Kunihiko Yuyama. Pokémon Horizons premieres on April 14 in Japan.
Team Rocket captures Pikachu, and promptly locks it away in an unbreakable cage while Wobbuffet holds onto the key.
