The Indy Women in Tech Championship was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, played in Indianapolis, Indiana.. On September 27, 2016, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced that the LPGA would return to Indiana with a tournament at the Pete Dye-designed Brickyard Crossing Golf Resort at the speedway.
The museum moved into its current building located in the infield in 1976. Also on the grounds is the Brickyard Crossing Golf Resort, which originally opened as the Speedway Golf Course in 1929. The golf course has 14 holes outside the track, along the backstretch, and four holes in the infield.
It was played in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the Broadmoor Country Club (1988–1993) and at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Club (1994–2000). Title sponsorship was from Comfort Inn. The purse for the 2000 tournament was US$1,250,000, with $187,500 going to the winner. The tournament was founded in 1988 as the GTE North Classic.
