U.S. Route 20 or U.S. Highway 20 (US 20) is an east–west United States Numbered Highway that stretches from the Pacific Northwest east to New England. The "0" in its route number indicates that US 20 is a major coast-to-coast route.
In Palmer, US 20 serves as the southern terminus of Route 181 and then intersects Route 32, which provides close access to the Mass Pike at exit 63 (formerly exit 8). US 20 and Route 32 share a short concurrency in downtown Palmer, before US 20 splits and continues east. Before leaving Palmer, Route 67 meets its southern terminus at US 20.
In 2017, the Oregon legislature designated Oregon’s 451-mile stretch of U.S. Route 20 as the state’s official Medal of Honor Highway. Twelve roadside signs were placed along the route to honor Oregon’s Medal of Honor recipients. Oregon was the first state to designate a border-to-border route as its official Medal of Honor Highway.
