Pottstown is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. Pottstown was laid out in 1752–53 and named Pottsgrove in honor of its founder, John Potts. The old name was abandoned at the time of the incorporation as a borough in 1815. In 1888, the limits of the borough were considerably extended.
Kelly left the Post and began working as a photographer for a Valley Forge newspaper, Today's Post, in Pennsylvania, until leaving in 1974, to work with the Pottstown Mercury, as their Photography Supervisor. He later became the Chief Photographer, and then continued as a freelance photojournalist. [1]

Born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, in 1948, Hylton graduated from Kutztown University in 1970 [1] and began working as a staff writer for The Mercury in Pottstown the following year. He won a Pulitzer Prize in 1990 for Mercury editorials about a bond issue for the preservation of farmland and open space. [1]
