The first Michelin Guide, published in 1900 The 1911 Michelin Guide for the British Isles. In 1900, there were fewer than 3,000 cars on the roads of France. To increase the demand for cars and, accordingly, car tyre, the car tyre manufacturers and brothers Édouard and André Michelin published a guide for French motorists, the Guide Michelin (Michelin Guide). Michelin published restaurant guides for Los Angeles in 2008 and 2009 but suspended the publication in 2010. [4] Publication of the guide would resume for Southern California in 2019 but now covered all of California in one guide.
