Diabolus in Musica (Latin for "The Devil in Music") is the eighth studio album by American thrash metal band Slayer, released on June 9, 1998, by American Recordings. Guitarist Jeff Hanneman wrote most of the album's content, which has been described as Slayer's most experimental.
The album helped Slayer break into the Billboard 200 for the first time, peaking at number 94. [2] After South of Heaven (1988), Slayer signed to Rubin's new label, Def American, and released Seasons in the Abyss (1990). After the album was released, Lombardo departed Slayer and was replaced by Paul Bostaph. [3]
In 2009, the band released their first EP "Secrets" with the best tracks they recorded before. Those tracks and the name of the demo were included in their first full-length album Secrets. Secrets was released on May 21, 2010, by the label Metal Blade Records. The album was mixed by Ad Sluijter and mastered by Sascha Paeth.
