The 2022 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship was the 19th staging of the FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). On 15 October 2022, FIVB announced the expansion of the World Championships and the changes to their common competition formula. A total of 32 teams are to compete for future editions of the tournament. The 2022 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship features 24 teams. Three places are allocated to the hosts, the Netherlands and Poland, and the current titleholder, Serbia. Ten places were to be allocated to the top two teams from each of the 2021 Continental Championships that have not yet qualified as host or titleholder.
