In most cases the moisture will come from one of two places: If the moisture is coming from the air (e.g. a steamy bathroom or a cold hallway) the problem is managed (perhaps not ...
5. The big problem with vinegar is that it leaves behind nutrients for future mold. This may be no problem if you managed to radically change the conditions which made the mold grow in the first place (e.g., by removing that thermal bridge), but otherwise, mold will likely grow again. It's actually really good at getting rid of carpet smells. Basically the vinegar smell replaces the smell of ammonia from the urine, and then you can easily dissipate the vinegar smell with an open window and a few minutes. Just makes sure to use a shop-vac or something to get all the moisture out of the carpet so it doesn't mold underneath.

There are re-usable lint rollers on the market that have a permanently sticky rubber surface that can be rinsed off. They work reasonably well (but are less "strong" than the ones with tape), but are not suitable for large surfaces. Similar to the sticky rollers are rubber gloves. Not the thin chirurgical ones, but simple household gloves.
What are good ways to clean up black stuff & staining from powder coated mild steel items & bolts/ screws, after DIY mods at a Lathe heavy metal workshop? Anything anyone touches without washing their hands has black stains all over. This is the only industrial workshop I have access to via a connection. I got some drilling & threading done.
