Hi guys, My son has been a long time Porsche lover and now that he has turned 21 and he has matured, I am looking to get him his first baby to take care of. The car I have found is a 1982 Porsche 924 T-Bar Automatic and the deal looks too good to be ...
In the air flow meter, there is a small hole between the rubber boot and the fuel distributor. Using a long-handled 3mm allen key wrench, you insert the wrench into this hole and it will engage the head of the set screw to adjust mixture. Turn clockwise to richen, counterclockwise to lean. You're probably a touch lean; I would suggest trying it ...

Asked this on the 924.org site and got only ways to determine. It would seem if the flywheel is marked with TDC, +10 & -10 there would be some 924 manual that would document which one is 10 degrees BTDC. Did not think this would be such a hard question to get a correct answer for. This weekend going to hand turn the engine to see which comes up ...

misty's Garage. 1983 Porsche 924 1983. 924 cuts out, Problem fixed. Thanks to all those people with their suggestions. The reason for why the engine would cut out: There is a flying lead coming out of the rubber boot on the connector for the Electronic Ignition Unit (brown in colour).
Some people recommend using the absolute correct bulbs because the ECE ones use nickel plated bases and they say that there's a possibility of corrosion with the brass bases used on the american series bulbs (1157, 1156, etc.) A 1034 or 1157 is sorta kinda like a P21/5W and a 1078 or 1156 is sorta-kinda like a P21W.
Car is a '82 924 (not turbo) and was running fine. Stalled on the hwy doing about 50 MPH under a light load. Issue seems to be no fuel pressure (pump not running). Followed the trouble shooting procedures in my Haynes manual and the results point to the relay. Pump, hose and pipe all check good when I jump number 30 and 87 in the relay socket.

Check to see that you have voltage at the fuel pump during that 2-3 sec. If you do the fuel pump is bad..... It has been a while since I worked on the 924.
The clicking makes me thing he used relays. When i was searching for inspiration on how to make a sequential LED device I found many good posts about making tail lights. If you were going to do this I would suggest using LED bulbs just for the sake of it and current draw. A counter, few transistors with a reset.
