The Executive College (Malay: Institut Eksekutif) is a private higher education institution, established in 2004 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. [1]The facilities in IE include campus' resources such as computer labs, libraries, theatres, and lecture rooms.
TAR UMT's main campus covers 171 acres (69 ha) at Jalan Genting Kelang in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur. The university also has five branches across Malaysia, in the states of Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah. The first branch campus, in Penang, began at a temporary location in 1994 before moving to Tanjung Bungah five years later.
The university was since then known as Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus and was, at the time, the fifth branch campus university in the country. Student population was at 700. [3] [7] Work on a campus expansion started in late 2005. The project was wholly funded by the Sarawak Government. [8]
An official ceremony was held to launch UTAR on 13 August 2002 at the main hall of the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. Attending the ceremony was the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad. The prime minister also officiated the university groundbreaking event at its new campus at Kampar, in the state of Perak. [16] [19]
The plan to build the school was granted by the Federal Government in 1972 under the Second Malaysia Plan (RMK-2). The construction was completed in 1978, covering 8 hectares. The college was named after Datu Patinggi Abang Haji Abdillah, a local politician who served under Charles Vyner Brooke.

UCSI University, Sarawak Campus is a branch of the UCSI University private university located in Sarawak, Malaysia that houses the Faculty of Hospitality & Management, Faculty of Business & Information Science and Centre for Pre-U Studies. The campus hosts a student population of over 500.
The university took in its first students, numbering 118, in 1993 with the opening of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology. [2] These students were temporarily located at Telekom Training College, Simpang Tiga, Kuching, until 1994, when the university moved to its East Campus in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak.
