The Common University Entrance Test (CUET), formerly Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a standardised test in India conducted by the National Testing Agency at various levels—CUET (UG), [1] CUET (PG), [2] and CUET (PhD), [3] for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programmes in Central Universities and other participating institutes. The AST was first administered in 2002, and phased out after 2021. It consisted of ten subjects, namely Chinese, English, Mathematics (A and B), History, Geography, Citizen and Society, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Examinees could take the subject tests that were required to meet a university's standard.

Percentile scores and percentile ranks are often used in the reporting of test scores from norm-referenced tests, but, as just noted, they are not the same. For percentile ranks, a score is given and a percentage is computed. Percentile ranks are exclusive: if the percentile rank for a specified score is 90%, then 90% of the scores were lower.
