North Allegheny School District is a large, suburban public school district located in McCandless, Pennsylvania, about 12 miles (19 km) north of Pittsburgh.It was established in 1948 and serves an area of 48 square miles (120 km 2), including Marshall Township, McCandless Township, and the boroughs of Bradford Woods and Franklin Park.
The building became North Allegheny Senior High School (NASH) for grades 11-12 in 1969 upon the opening of Thomas E. Carson Intermediate High School (now Carson Middle School). The building assumed its current role as the Intermediate High School for grades 9-10 in 1974, when the new and current Senior High School in Wexford opened.
In 2013, North Allegheny Senior High School employed 98 teachers. The feeder school is North Allegheny Intermediate High School which provides grades 9th and 10th.
