Dakota Fusion FC is a semi-professional soccer team based in Fargo–Moorhead. They have played in the National Premier Soccer League since May 2017 and the Women's Premier Soccer League since 2018. They have announced intent to begin play in the division 3 women's professional league WPSL PRO in 2026. [1] The team colors are black and yellow.

MSUM has a wide variety of intramural sports including flag football, softball, and soccer. Club teams are also available for men's and women's rugby, men's and women's lacrosse, and baseball which compete nationally. MSU Moorhead also has a club ice hockey team, which began play in the 2018–2019 season.
