Allen High School features a Career and Technical Education (CTE) campus known as the STEAM Center, which opened in 2019 at a cost of $40 million. [11] The 111,000-square-foot facility supports various CTE programs for the high school, and hosts educational field trips for elementary and middle school students. [ 12 ]
Allen's first state championship in 2008 was won over Fort Bend Hightower, 21–14. [4] The team's record that year was 15–1, and the state title win gave them a MaxPreps national ranking of 5. [5] 2012 marked the beginning of a record-setting win streak for the Eagles. Allen went 15–1 on the season, only losing to Coppell in week 5.
Allen was unable to play any games in the stadium during the 2014 season due to repairs. Allen reached an agreement with neighboring Plano ISD to play three "home games" using two of Plano's stadiums.
