The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (Urdu: وزارت ماورائے بحر پاکستانی و ترقی انسانی وسائل), abbreviated as MOPHRD) is a ministry of the Government of Pakistan that oversees matters concerning Overseas Pakistanis and human resource development in Pakistan.
The Ministry was established in 1961 under the name of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. [2] In 2004, The Ministry was separated into two independent ministries: the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Social Affairs. later, in 2015, the two ministers were merged into one ministry to become the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.
