U.S. Highway 15 (US 15) is a north–south United States Numbered Highway running from Walterboro, South Carolina, to Painted Post, New York.In the U.S. state of North Carolina, the highway runs for 159 miles (256 km) from the South Carolina state line to the south of Laurinburg to the Virginia state line north of Bullock.
NC 80 at Buck Creek Gap. NC 80 is a 37.9-mile-long (61.0 km) two-lane mountain highway between US 70, in Pleasant Gardens, and NC 226A, near Bakersville.The highway is popular with bike and motorcycle enthusiasts, because of its hairpin turns and also makes up part of the Mount Mitchell Scenic Drive between the Blue Ridge Parkway and Micaville.
Nantahala Lake (/ ˌ n æ n t ə ˈ h eɪ l ə /) [1] is located in Macon County, North Carolina in the western part of the state. The lake is regulated and maintained by Duke Energy and is a major source of hydroelectric power to the region. [2] Nantahala is located at 3,000 feet (910 m) in the Nantahala National Forest.
