YES! Geoff Johns: "I can officially say that Ivan Reis, Joe Prado and I have started work on Rise of the 7 Seas! The team is back." I suppose that quite a few people are even happier the last run ended earlier now.
The Geoff Johns run and the Mark Waid run can be read independently. Also, next month sees the release of "THE FLASH BY GRANT MORRISON AND MARK MILLAR". This was was previously collected as two separate volumes (Emergency Stop and The Human Race), but they omitted the Green Lantern and Green Arrow crossover issues, which will be included in ...
Writer: Geoff Johns Artist: John Romita Jr. Colorist: Laura Martin Publication Date: Aug. 27, 2014 Summary Johns gives us the origin story of Ulysses, has Supes embracing his role as a mentor, and introduces the Machinist. What I Liked Great character development with Ulysses/Neil...
Unfortunately, many of the Geoff Johns stories I've read seemed to have interesting starts, then just paddled in place for the middle before hitting an "end" that seemed rushed or like Johns had already lost interest in the idea and just wanted to get through it so he could start on the next great story. When was the last time he stuck the landing?
The New York Times best-selling and critically acclaimed series GREEN LANTERN written by Geoff Johns begins here! It's been years since the the death of Hal Jordan and the end of the Green Lantern Corps. But as the Torchbearer Kyle Rayner is about to find out, the adventure of epic and...
Geoff Johns wrote FLASHPOINT, but the final outcome was not what he originally intended. The New 52 initiative came from personnel higher in WB/DC's chain of command, and Johns was a reluctant partner in the New 52 plan...an idea that now seems evident in light of his work on REBIRTH and comments he has made regarding the origins of REBIRTH.
3. Aquaman - the character still had a bit of the negative stigma before that run. Johns had Aquaman out selling Spider-Man and it was a huge influence on the movie. For me personally, I’d put Legion of Superheroes pretty high up on list just because his Superman and the Legion of Superheroes storyline is one of my favorite comics.
Personally I love the Green Lantern and Titans run. I love how he can create two runs that have completely different feels. Sometimes when writes write for a while the dialouge starts to sound all the same, but with Geoff Johns he seems to understand each character to their roots. I know I sound...
Nice, this is good news. Our new announced editions are We3, YL The Last Man Book One, V for Vendetta, Batman: The Long Halloween, Sandman's Death, Wonder Woman: Blood and Guts, DC: The New Frontier, and Harley Quinn: Wild at Heart.
Johns likes to meddle with Superman but I don’t think he’ll get to completely override the Superbooks and impose his vision on the character again. Frankly I don’t think he cares that much about whether Superman has a secret identity or not as long as his stories are still canon.
