Saint-Laurent-de-Cuves (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ loʁɑ̃ də kyv], literally Saint-Laurent of Cuves) is a commune in the Manche department in Normandy in north-western France. [3] It hosts the annual rock music festival "Papillons de Nuit". The 2008 festival had approximately 50,000 spectators over three days.
A first museum was created in 1846, between the church of St Laurent and a house occupied by the industrialist Xavier Jouvin. It consisted primarily of headstones covered with inscriptions, dating from the Gallo-Roman period of Cularo. The entire site is classified as a historic monument since 10 August 1977. [3]
