Mayfield and Five Ashes is a civil parish in the High Weald of East Sussex, England.The two villages making up the principal part of the parish lie on the A267 road between Royal Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne: Mayfield, the larger of the two villages is ten miles (16 km) south of Royal Tunbridge Wells; with Five Ashes being 2.5 miles (4 km) further south. Mayfield Baptist Chapel, previously known as Mayfield Strict Baptist Chapel, [1] is a place of worship in the village of Mayfield, part of the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. The present chapel was built in 1873 on the site of a predecessor which had opened some years before—possibly as early as the late 18th century.
