Belle is a city in northeast Maries County and extending north into southeast Osage County in the U.S. state of Missouri. The population was 1,381 at the 2020 census, [3] down from 1,545 in 2010. The Osage County portion of Belle is part of the Jefferson City, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The city administration of Bellefontaine Neighbors has evolved since its incorporation, with A. W. Schnur appointed as the first mayor in 1950. The city is divided into four wards and operates under a Mayor-Aldermen form of government, with the mayor and aldermen elected to four-year terms. Elections are held on the first Tuesday in April. Bellerive Acres is a northern suburban city in St. Louis County, Missouri, United States.The population was 188 at the 2010 census. [5] In April, 2015, the residents voted to change the village of Bellerive to a fourth class city named Bellerive Acres.

The Missouri Department of Conservation operates a 112-acre (0.45 km 2) lake south of La Belle. This lake served as a drinking water reservoir for the city of La Belle from 1980 through 2003.
