The Sterling Department of Public Works oversees town roads, sidewalks, parks, fields, cemeteries and town trees. In addition the DPW provides administrative help with the trash and recycling program for residents of the town, and we work on a myriad of projects, both seasonally and annually.

Approved bylaw amendments at Annual Town Meetings will change the existing By-laws after approval by the Attorney General's Office. Zoning by-law amendments become effective the date of the Town Meeting; General by-law amendments become effective the date the Attorney General appeal period ends.
