Miguel José Ferrer (February 7, 1955 [1] – January 19, 2017) was an American actor. His breakthrough role was as Bob Morton in the 1987 film RoboCop.Other film roles include Harbinger in Hot Shots!
The series was created by Whitney Blake and Allan Manings, a husband-and-wife writing duo who had both been actors in the 1950s and 1960s.The series was based on Whitney Blake's own life as a single mother raising her three children (including future actress Meredith Baxter) after her divorce from her first husband.

Morton made his debut on 30 October 1948, playing at centre-forward as Luton beat West Ham United 1–0 at Upton Park. [4] Morton was equally good as a forward or as a wing half, and whether he was scoring goals or stopping them at the other end he was an ever-present in the Luton team. Morton left Luton in 1964, at the age of 38.
