Ioan Alexandru (Romanian pronunciation: [iˈo̯an alekˈsandru]; born Ion Șandor [iˈon ˈʃandor], [1] December 25, 1941 – September 16, 2000) was a Romanian poet, essayist and politician. After the Romanian Revolution of 1989, he became a founding member and vice-president of the Christian Democratic National Peasants' Party (PNȚCD).
