Switched-On Bach II is a musical album by Wendy Carlos in 1973 on Columbia Records and produced by Carlos and Rachel Elkind and is a sequel to the 1968 album Switched-On Bach. In February 1974, Billboard reported that the album had sold over 70,000 copies in its first five weeks of release.
In 1969, during the unexpected commercial success of her debut studio album Switched-On Bach (1968), Carlos and her friend, collaborator, and producer Rachel Elkind started work on a follow-up using the same formula as Switched-On Bach: performing selections of classical music on a modular Moog synthesizer.
It was the first album she released under the name of Wendy Carlos rather than Walter Carlos. Switched-On Brandenburgs is a collection of all six of Bach's Brandenburg Concertos performed by Carlos on her Moog modular synthesizer. Concerti #1, (most of) #2, and #6 were recorded specifically for the album.

She produced the work of Wendy Carlos, most notably the bestselling 1968 album Switched-On Bach. [1] Elkind grew up in San Francisco. She moved to New York City hoping to be a jazz singer. Elkind worked closely with Carlos from 1967 to 1980, when she moved to France with her husband, Yves Tourre.
