The Blackstone Brewing Company is a craft brewery in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Founded by Kent Taylor and Stephanie Weins in 1994, it claims to be Nashville's oldest craft brewery. [1] [2] The original brewpub, called Blackstone Restaurant and Brewery, opened on New Year's Eve 1994 and operated until 2016.
Dawn Donuts was founded in Flint by franchise owner Arthur Hurand in 1958 with a store on Detroit Street in Flint, Michigan. [3] In 1985, the chain unveiled a new store prototype for use at locations inside convenience stores, primarily Amoco gas stations. John E. Klobucar opened Flint, Michigan's first Kentucky Fried Chicken in 1963, the first outside of the Detroit area. [3] [4] He incorporated his business on August 16, 1967 as Slick-Chick, Inc. [5] A decade later in 1973, Klobucar started Big John Steak and Onion, [3] [4] the first restaurant to serve submarine sandwiches in the Flint Area. [3]
