The Catskill Mountain Railroad (reporting mark CMRR) is a heritage tourist railroad based in Kingston, New York, that began operations in 1982.The railroad leases a 4.7-mile portion (MP 3.6 to MP 8.3) of the former New York Central Railroad Catskill Mountain branch from Kingston to Stony Hollow, New York.
Woodstock is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States, in the northern part of the county, northwest of Kingston. It lies within the borders of the Catskill Park . The population was 6,287 at the 2020 census , [ 4 ] up from 5,884 in 2010.
The post office was renamed from Rhinebeck Station to Rhinecliff in 1861, but the train station stayed as Rhinebeck. [10] A second track was added to the railroad in 1863–64. [6]: 47 By 1867, a freight house was located on the west side of the tracks north of the station. [11]
