Xpress boats are awesome and arguably the best aluminum bass boat out there. My bud (6'7 and dang near 400lbs) has a ~17fter with a 115 on the back. He loves it. I fished with him one tourney and it seemed really nice. It did ride a little to one side, but then again he's a hefty fella. I also know a guy that has a 200 with a hydrolic jack plate.

I had an older 18' bass buggy when my two sons were very young, and it was great. Size of the boat was not bad at all, would go really shallow, and was so much more comfortable and safe for the kids.

Have had this one for 3 years and it is by far my favorite boat I have ever owned. It is the perfect boat for me. Re: Excel Bay, Xpress Bay, or Avid Bay! [Re: DoubleMeat] #14416356 07/10/2204:22 PM.
I purchased a new 2022 Vexus AVX 1880 with 115 hp last August that meets your requirements. It is 18'-10" long, single console, runs 48 mph, and has an Ultrex. But the Crestliner, Xpress, Avid, Ranger are nice. Just personal choice based on your preference and budget. The Vexus AVX 1880 will be at top of your budget. Requirements are as follows: 1.
The Xpress dealer in Tampa had 2 of them at a VERY distressed price. They sell a ton of Xpress bay and bass boats, but they almost could't give away these 2 flats boats. I decided if they were that tough to sell brand new, at a very good price point, I didn't think I would try to outsmart the economic forces of supply and demand.
No Name City. The G3 HP and Mod-V series bass boats are welded, not riveted. Triton has been building aluminum boats since 2001. Tracker may not be the best boat, but I guess it's better than no boat at all. Re: Xpress or Tracker boat #709945 02/10/0403:35 AM. Joined: Nov 2003. Posts: 2,850.

Saltwater will go into the bilge of the boat, and corrosion will occur forever after that; you can never get it all washed out. Bay boats are self-bailing.

2020 Xpress Skiff 185. 2020 Yamaha SHO 115 with 40 hrs * 5 1/2 yrs of warranty left. Minn Kota Terrova with quick release. Powerpole Pro Series. Lowrance HDS 7 at Console. Yamaha Digital Gauges. 6" Atlas Hydraulic Jackplat. $31,000 like it sits with all listed above.
Pros: Construction looked solid, simple uncluttered layout, resale value (in LA, Xpress boats sell quick), good V up front, mod deadrise at the transom with reverse chine on the edges, looks like it would pole and draft decent for what it is.
