West Boylston is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States and a northern suburb of Worcester.The population was 7,877 at the 2020 census.West Boylston includes the village of Oakdale, located on the opposite side of the Wachusett Reservoir from West Boylston center along Route 140.
There were four schools: Elementary School: K-3rd grades. Junior High: 4-6th grades. Middle School: 7th & 8th grades. High school: 9-12th grades. Each school was supervised by its own principal, except in the high school. Due to the number of students that were enrolled, there were 4 principals. [citation needed]
In 2001, a Proposition 2 + 1 ⁄ 2 override failed to pass. In addition to teacher cuts across the system and reductions in each school's budget, the most significant losses were to the schools' award-winning music program; elementary school feeder programs were cut completely. [3]

The school's offerings expanded over time, and in 2002 the school was bought by Premier Education Group. "Salter College" was launched by Premier in 2007 with a new facility in West Boylston. [2] The college awarded its first three associate degrees in June 2008. [3]
